MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 2013-09-006

AN ORDINANCE NAMING THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED STRUCTURE AT THE WEST OF THE MUNICIPAL PLAZA AS TOBACCO FARMERS TRADING CENTER AND MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING

WHEREAS, the Local Government Code of 1991 authorizes the Local Government to provide names of local government structures for recognition and proper identification;

 

WHEREAS, the newly constructed structure at the west of the municipal plaza remain to be unnamed as of the moment;

 

WHEREAS, tobacco farmers during their meetings that there should be a specific place to conduct marketing and trading operations in the municipality;

 

WHEREAS, it is also a place for other municipal and farmers activity especially during fiesta and other important gathering;

 

WHEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Joey S. Apostol duly seconded by Hon. Lester Ballesteros, BE IT ORDAINED THAT

 

Section 1. That the name of the establishment will be Farmers Tobacco Trading Center and Multi-Purpose Building.

 

Section 2. That the building will be used as a place for local government unit, tobacco association and traders to conduct trading and marketing forum during tobacco season and also a place to conduct municipal gatherings and special occasion.

 

Section 3. The structure upon development and full blast construction can be a site to put up tobacco farmers and traders hostel for accommodation of visitors and tourists that would like to attend tobacco farmers trading and technical demonstration;

 

Section 4. That maintenance and improvement of the facility will be on the regular allocation of the municipality and shares on R.A. 7171 and R.A. 8240, the excise taxes on Virginia and Barley Tobacco acceptances of the province.

 

Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
